Featured Job Post: Editor at PATH

PATH is looking for a full-time editor to join its external relations team in Washington, D.C. An international nonprofit organization, PATH (Program for Appropriate Technology in Health) works to improve the health of people around the world. Over thirty years after its inception, PATH now works in more than seventy countries, focusing on the following:
- solutions for emerging and epidemic diseases
- health technologies designed for low-resource settings
- safer childbirth and healthy children
- health equity for women
- vaccines for women and children
The editor will support PATH’s advocacy and public policy team by developing, writing, and editing content for articles, reports, briefs, web pages, newsletters, and other materials for general audiences, policymakers, and technical experts. The editor will also work with experts to ensure content accuracy and with designers to ensure the effective, appealing presentation of information.
This editor position requires a bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or a related field (advanced degree preferred) and five years experience. Candidates should also have two years experience in global health or advocacy and a demonstrated ability to handle quantitative information, relevant terminology and concepts, writing directed toward policymakers and advocates, and advanced tasks in MS Office (particularly Word). Familiarity with preparing child health and immunization communications is also desirable.
