Featured Job Post: Managing Editor for ‘National Journal’
Atlantic Media is looking for a managing editor for National Journal magazine in Washington, D.C. First published in 1969 and relaunched in 2010, National Journal is a nonpartisan weekly magazine (40,000 subscribers) and website (3 million unique viewers monthly) that reports on politics and policy in Washington. National Journal seeks a high-energy journalist with strong story-conception and editing skills.
The managing editor will conceive and edit both short and long-form stories, manage and assign stories for a team of journalists and freelancers, select covers and graphics, and stand in for the executive editor as necessary.
This fulltime position requires a bachelor’s degree, demonstrated news judgment, experience editing long-form journalism, and a genuine interest in politics and policy.
