Google error cancels Christmas
CNN posted an article last month stating that Android 4.2 users attempted to bookmark friends’ birthdays and important dates onto The People app, December was not one of the months listed. The dates skip right from November to January.
The online community went crazy with announcing that Android and Google must be against Christmas and cancelled the entire month of December. This error is only in The People app and not within the standard calendar app found on the phone.
"Is Google the new Grinch who stole Christmas?" posed CNET, a tech-news site. "Sure, the month of December can be expensive and stressful, but Google apparently has an app for avoiding it." Google has announced since that they have been notified of the glitch and plan to have it fixed as soon as possible. The updated version of The People app was out a week later. The 4.2.1 update will pop up on applicable Android devices that run 4.2 Jelly Bean with a message telling its user that an update is available, the source said. The update will repair the calendar and several other stability and bug issues. The affected devices include Nexus 10 tablets and Nexus 4 smartphones that run the latest operating system.
