Eric Ulken is an assistant managing editor at the Seattle Times, where he leads the newsroom's digital efforts. He was previously a homepage producer and editor on the digital staff of the Los Angeles Times, where he helped develop and co-presented the Poynter Institute's first webinar on SEO and headline writing for the web. He has taught journalism at the University of British Columbia and the University of Southern California and has written about issues in digital journalism for the Online Journalism Review and other publications.
