Gregory L. Wagner

Gregory L. Wagner is a 30-year veteran of the ad wars, serving as creative director at four D’Arcy and Leo Burnett offices: St. Louis, Chicago, Detroit, and Denver. During that time, he led successful campaigns for Budweiser, P&G, GM, Amoco, Six Flags, the USA Ski Association, First Alert, Budget rent-a-car, Michelob, the St. Louis Cardinals, Wilson Sporting Goods, General Mills, and most recently, GM’s “Looking for Mr. Goodwrench” work. His creative teams have won numerous new business pitches and over 50 advertising awards, including a Clio and a finalist placing at the Cannes Film Festival.

“The work is everything” is Wagner’s war cry, and he’s eager to share what he knows about creating print advertising that sells. He currently teaches advertising and integrated marketing at the University of Colorado.
