Merrill Perlman
Merrill Perlman is an editor and consultant. She writes the 'Language Corner' column and blog for Columbia Journalism Review and is an adjunct assistant professor at the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism. Merrill retired after 25 years at The New York Times, most recently as director of copy desks, responsible for managing more than 150 copy editors. She has developed and presented seminars for The New York Times, the American Copy Editors Society, the Dow Jones News Fund, the Poynter Institute, news publications nationwide, journalism conventions, private companies and law firms.
