Manuscript Evaluation and Critique
Skill level: Advanced
Instructor: Greg Ioannou
Whether you work in-house or freelance, you’ll sometimes be asked to evaluate or critique a manuscript. If you’re a new employee in a publishing house, you might be asked to take care of the slush for a while. If you’re a freelancer, you might be asked to help authors prepare manuscripts for consideration by agents or traditional publishers, or you’ll help writers self-publish their work. All of those tasks begin with the same process: evaluating what is good about a manuscript and what its problems are, and thinking through how to guide the writer to address those problems.
Note: This was an extended Master Class: one class that is spread out over two sessions. Purchase is of the full recording (both parts) and handouts. The sessions do not stand alone as individual lessons and are not available for purchase individually. The higher pricing reflects the extended length of the class.
