The Copyediting newsletter was founded in 1990 by Mary Beth Protomastro, a copyeditor working at McCall’s magazine. For 25 years, Copyediting (formerly called Copy Editor) has explored the usage and evolution of the English language—from style guide updates to new terms—and what they mean for the gatekeepers of the published word.
The Copyediting brand has kept up with trends in publishing over the years by offering a weekly email newsletter and a blog. Copyediting Weekly arrives in subscribers’ email boxes every Friday with a roundup of Copyediting articles, job postings, training opportunities, and articles from around the web.
Our blog, cleverly titled the Copyediting blog, publishes several posts a week on such topics as how to get Word ready for editing, how much copyeditors earn, and how to use verbal and oral correctly.
Now we’re creating our own book imprint: Editors’ Editions! We’ll publish print and electronic books on editing and business topics. First up: a grammar workbook. Stay tuned!
