Copyediting editor Sarah Grey won the American Copy Editors Society’s Robinson Prize last night at the ACES 2016 banquet.
The awards committee unanimously voted for Grey, who is noted for her advocacy for inclusive language and whose client roster includes nonprofit organizations and academics. Grey volunteers her time with the Editorial Freelancers Association and an active member of the Editors’ Association of Earth and EAE Backroom. She copyedits the Copyediting newsletter.
The Robinson Prize is awarded each year to a copyeditor who makes an exceptional contribution to the industry not just through excellent copyediting but also through mentoring, training, teamwork, problem solving, and conflict resolution.
